As women, we can often feel pressured to take on the weight of our world. We may have the responsibilities of children, grandchildren, family, and our households. We may feel pressured to partake in various church activities and school volunteering opportunities. Then we have the commitments of the numerous social engagements, community events, and sports events to name a few. With all the different areas in our life,  we may tend to hide behind the mask of perfection and portray that we have it all together, that our family is perfect; that there's no problem in our marriage; or we have no financial struggles.  And what about the Christian mask of perfection where we pretend that we never lack in faith or hope, or that we do not struggle with fears, doubts or questions about our faith.

God never asked us to hide behind a mask of perfection and to keep our doubts, worries, and concerns to ourselves. He asked us to lay all of that at His feet and ultimately, for us to trust Him to take care of everything, especially the messiness of life. As much as we may try to hide things from others, as much as we even try to hide things from ourselves, we cannot hide things from God.

Let's take off our mask of perfection and invite Jesus into the areas of messiness in our life.  Let His perfect love turn our mess into a message that will shine bright to others.
